... a really bad thought.
Before we came away I said I wanted to lose 5lb so that I could put on one lb a day without ending up looking too gross.
But that was before we knew we'd be staying here for 16 days!
OMG! How many lbs are there in a stone again?

Rose and Lily have been introduced to some dried puppy food which was being given away free at some large pet shop in Cramlington, and they have demolished it. Still being fed chicken and rice according to your recipe but the puppy by-products have dried up considerably. They had been attempting to eat the dried food for older dogs which is left out because Maggie and Isla are grazers rather than set mealtime dogs and, rather like cats, do not over eat. The puppies are definitely very happy within themselves and are clearly enjoying the change of scenery. That video that was posted speeded up movements due to a poor conversion from mp4 to avi. Same happened with footage I took of the celebrations at United yesterday (as requested) but I've rectified the problem now and will do my best to reprocess, reproduce and repost...for the purposes of posterior. Puppies are scheduled to be showered, bathed and groomed on Monday evening with bedding washed ready for your return. I'm sure it'll be a piddlefest! As Vinnie Jones said at the end of Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels "It's been emotional" :o)
ReplyDeleteThought for the day...
ReplyDelete...Yahweh missed a trick when he was helping Moses persuade Pharaoh to let his people go. Instead of messing about with curses, blood, frogs, lice, flies, livestock death, boils, hail, locusts, darkness and slaying the firstborn etc. All he really needed to do was to set a couple of Westie pups down on the banks of the Nile... and that would have sharp concentrated Pharaoh's mind.
I jest..of course....the general concensus is that the "past" 12 days (including the next 2 - eh?) has been time has been well spent with two of the most adorable, cute, wonderfully natured beasts in Gods' cr... crea.... creatio.... Catherine....I can't read your writing girl...:o)
The girls have had the latest in a series of deep grooms with wire brushes and combs (on the garden table - known locally as Alcatraz) to gradually ease and eventually get rid of the matting that had built up. Lily's coat is a delight to groom: Rose's coat, bless her, is so soft and fluffy and thick, its a much longer and more involved operation. I imagine you could get a decent cardigan out of the puppy fluff that has been released.
ReplyDeleteWhen they eventually get clipped, you'll have two new dogs. At the moment Rose resembles a cross between Gizbo the Gremlin and a Koala bear. Fluffy chests....a little bit of a skirt, shortish beard well trimmed ears tails and butts should be the order of the day.
