LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

JUST BACK...

... from our afternoon walk down the usual lane, but today the girls decided to sniff every single blade of grass, so what normally takes us about 40 minutes has taken about twice that!
We've just got in and they are fast asleep, having just paused long enough to down a huge bowl of water each.
In fact I've noticed two things this week:
1) They are drinking lots more water which is probably due to the dried food and the fact that the weather is warmer.
2) If they're not out being exercised they are sleeping, which is most unusual. They seem to be tired out most of the time and are certainly much calmer generally. This is a good thing!

  1. Yes. "Can't have too much od a good thing"...or is it "Never give up on a good thing?"-I forget Westies eventually sleep about 13 hours per day. In Maggie's and Isla's case it's more like 23 hpd

  2. Oh - so it's not that unusual then? Lily would sleep longer to be honest, but Rose often won't let her!
I've continued de-tatting today and have managed to get most of them out, just a few around her back legs, but nothing that Woofcuts should have a problem with. The only reason I didn't get them is she kept lying down so I couldn't get to them and I just gave up in the end!
