Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

Cakes a go go!

JUST WANT TO GO HOME

Sunday morning. Blue skies. Probably going to Central Park and Fifth Ave - but really just want to be going home.

There doesn't appear to be any news and our flight for tomorrow is still showing as scheduled, although that could well change.

How are my girls today? Are they driving you nuts Dannymatt? You'll no doubt be getting fed up of the early mornings! I really can't wait to get back to them and have found myself scouring the dog parks for any westies, just to get my fix - but so far, not a westie in sight.

Will write again when (if) we know more.

  1. Wendy had to wake them up at 8 o'clock because they were allowed to stay up and watch "Cliffhanger" in HD with surround sound after the opera. In great moods again no accidents.

After reading your book where you say you haven't left them for more than 10 min Sue...I think we need to work on this otherwise the girls will show separation anxiety when you have to leave them for any reason. And you will.

They were left for the duration of another match this morning Northburn Wanderers 3 v 3 Cramlington Blues(about 3 hours)and by the time we got back Rose had chewed through a box of wash powder - no ill effects but a lovely clean floor he he he. Yesterday she tried to make a meal of some documents I'd left lying on the bottom shelf in the dining room. The half eaten documents were recovered and found to be from Social Services so we were expecting her to be sick all over the place(oh har har). But this is what they'll do...I believe Paul mentioned the chewing too... so what you need to do Sue (if you don't mind me saying so)...you need to go away (for you coffee and hair)and then show them that you WILL return and they will soon grow accustomed to it (after all they've got each other and they're separated all night). Remember....Parting is such sweet sorrow and absence makes the heart grow fonder because familiarity breeds Westies......or something!

Got to say though, they are both so settled and the 4 of them are getting on really very well. Lily is such a tease, wanting to play all the time nipping the odd flank then running like hair oil from the chasing pack.

They're great looking Westies who will look superb when clipped into shape.

Well.....there you have it. At the minute they are going wild over Laura (eldest daughter) and Steven who have just arrived for lunch. What great personalities they both have.

Only wish I was there to share in all the fun but I'm stranded in the TV room with the footy on a 50" HD Pioneer, 2 bottles of wine and the keys - damn that volcanic cloud

  3. Right...well it seems that the pups have developed a taste for a well rounded Shiraz and chilled a properly Stella Artois. The girl with the longest tongue has just sampled both and signalled her approval. The other has stolen an empty bottle from the recycle basket and is slurping at the rim.

Lunch today was roast chicken which has been picked and stock is boiling as I type to go with the basmati as per the guide. Got to say though, they're wanting a refill of Shiraz to wash it down with...

Other breaking news: Cathy and Lily have fallen in love and its going to be a heartbreaking parting of the ways when it eventually happens. (We have stumbled upon Cathy's plans to elope...and we're just hoping its with the dogs...and not that snotty nosed little bleeder that was at the door the other day. She doesn't want to have children anymore...just a puppy - imagine our dilemma!)

Planning to make a film tomorrow if the conditions are favourable. Missed so many opportunities so far, such as Rose up on the table with nose in the gravy boat (organic)and Lily...well...just being Lily. Wait...I can hear something being disembowelled as I type...better go. Will post pics when I've rescued the....

...oops too late... Wendy's plastic bag of paperwork is being mauled as two savage lionesses of the Serengeti on a Wilderbeest. That'll teach her to take a shower and leave them for 5 minutes. Cathy's cleaning up cos she's in love....and that's just fine by this ex-manager. The good news is Cathybabes has a TTD tomorrow which means she's got the girls all day. Aw shucks...Left with me they might be left battling alcohol problems and obesity.

Are we having fun or what? :o)
