OK! We're currently sitting in Borders bookshop, over 7th Ave from our hotel and in front of Maddison Square Gardens. It's been a HOT morning but happily it has started to cloud over a little.
We managed to get tickets for the final 'Knicks' home game of the season! They're playing Washington @ MSG tomorrow evening. Just one level back from the court SO they SHOULD be good seats! At $149 a pop they'd better be!
Flight over was OK. But anyone over 'hobbit' size is going to struggle being comfortable on a transatlantic flight! Immigration at JFK is a total nightmare! The new electronic online greencard system still ISN'T being used SO if you're coming over anytime soon - don't be fooled! You'll STILL need to fill out a greencard and customs form and wait at least an hour in a queue to be allowed into the USA!
We were up at 6.30 local time (11.30 UK time) after a decent night sleep. Had breakfast at Europa Cafe and took a stroll around uptown. Dipped into Bryant Park. The last time we were here it was set up as a skating rink!
I managed to replenish my limited wardrobe this morning at Macey's Easter sale! Timberland shoes, Ralph Lauren trousers and shirts and a rather lovely original 'Banksie' tee-shirt!
I love this city!
