LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

WE'RE BACK HOME!

We left Newark Airport (the most uninspiring airport I've ever been, with one tiny little duty free shop about the size of our garden shed and a magazine stand and that's your lot - great if you're going to be hanging around for a few hours then) at 9pm (2am in real time) attempted to eat the usual unappetising meal then tried to catch a few zzzzs, only to fail miserably, racking up a total sleep time of about an hour between us.
Got to Heathrow on time BUT then circled round for half an hour until there was a space meaning that we had 20 minutes to get off the plane (we were right at the back and they DIDN'T open the rear door) and leg it across T5 to the Newcastle plane. Fortunately some of the staff took pity on us and rushed us through, although one of them did comment that we might be lucky if our bags managed to accompany us.
This turned out to be quite prophetic as MY bag decided to stay on in London for another quick whizz round so didn't turn up with the others. Not impressed, close to tears, but resigned to the fact that this was just another inconvenience in a whole chapter of inconveniences.
Grabbed a LARGE taxi, although James got a lift with his mate, Ed, and arrived back in Fram where Chris was waiting at the front of the house WITH THE GIRLS!
We may have had a stressful time, but all that faded away when they greeted us with licks and jumps and nibbles. They look fabulous, admittedly in need of a good trim, but clearly they have been happy and well looked after during our extended absence. When Chris left, we just enjoyed gatting to know them all over again and were really surprised at how much they seem to have grown up. Clearly Maggie Mae and Isla have been superb role models!
From about 1pm until 10.00 I have been doing the holiday washing and ironing - lovely! My sister said I was barmy to try to do it all in one go, but then acknowledged my OCD and realised that I just HAD to get it out of the way.
The pups have had their usual telly time with Charles and have settled back in their own bed quite happily. And that is exactly what I intend to do now! (not the pups bed though!)
