LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

BET YOU'RE WONDERING...

... where I've been all morning!

No?

Well, I'll tell you anyway!

James stayed over last night (basically, I think, because he gave me his week's washing and then discovered he had no boxers for the morning!) and when he eventually emerged from his pit today, suggested that we might go into town for a bit of retail therapy.

So that is exactly what we did. We weren't there for long, just long enough to get a couple of things each and have a coffee (I made the big mistake, after weeks of only drinking skinny cappucinos with a sweetener instead of sugar, of having a white chocolate mocca with cream and marshmallows and a slice of lemon cheescake and now I feel very sick!) then home again, but it was nice to get out for a while.

He's now left, taking my mini for the weekend, as of course he has no car having flown down yesterday.

We had a laugh about his flight! First off, he had to take a photo of the plane to send to his mates because it was one of those tiny little boxes with wings that look like they're wound up with a rubber band and rattle unnervingly all the time.

When he checked in he was told he had a priority booking and would be abe to jump the queue - but as there were only FIVE people on the flight, that was a bit of a waste of time.

The flight attendant gave out boiled sweets before take off - do they still do that? - and one of the other passengers cheekily asked if it would be possible to change seats! 'Certainly Sir - stretch out over a few if you like!' (Except you can't stretch out on that plane can you? I reckon, if James lay down across the plane he still wouldn't have room to straighten up.)

Then James was asked if he would like a drink and he asked for coke (not diet) with ice but no lemon and he got diet coke with lemon - so clearly the staff were rushed off their feet.

He just had time to munch his complimentary packet of savoury snacks and he'd landed - 20 minutes early!

Anyway - we've had a lovely morning and now I'm going to go and try on my new lightweight combats and Yumi top!

Oh - don't forget to watch the rugby and look out for Charles and the kids at half time! What time's it on and which channel, does anyone know?)
