LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

Cakes a go go!

HE'S BEEN!!

Craig the Mouse man finally turned up - following a little reminder from Charles admittedly, but hey, he's been to give us the benefit of his experience.

And the upshot is...
...that we're doing everything we need to and that we shouldn't need to put traps outside any more. We should leave the ones inside for now, but because Charles sealed around the pipe, they shouldn't be able to get in. When I pointed out that we had in fact had one in the cupboard since the gap was sealed, Craig suggested that we had probably trapped it inside the pipe and the only place it could go was into the cupboard.

So - to be honest, I don't know what to think! I thought he would come round and either set bigger, better traps, or tell us we needed to take up the decking (which he didn't, although he DID say that all decking will be infested with vermin, so consider that carefully if you are thinking about having some put down) or he would have put down the poison that the other guy told me about which isn't harmful to pets because it's in some sort of container. Anyway, all he brought with him was a torch! Not even a big stick to batter them with!  Have we solved the problem? Only time will tell I suppose.

You'd better watch this space

  1. NB (from Charles)

A mouse couldn't get stuck in the pipe the only exit would be down the drain or into the sink! What Craig actually said was that the mose could have been trapped inside - (probably under the kitchen units!)

It's Sue's birthday on Saturday - I'll not tell you how old she is this year but bear in mind that I was a child husband when we got married in 1977 and I can't retire until the end of the next academic year at the earliest!
