Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

IT'S STILL TAKING...

... a bit of getting used to, seeing these two close-cropped little things around the house - and I have to look very carefully at them to tell them apart. One thing I've noticed this morning is that they have 'lollipop' heads. You know that term - when girls have big hair and tiny skinny size zero bodies. Well that's what the pups look like now. In fact their shoulders seem to have disappeared completely, so they've got big heads, thin scrawny little necks, no shoulders and skinny little bodies with bony legs. It's not a good look! Rose has taken to only sitting on a blanket as opposed to the cool floor tiles she enjoyed so much before, presumably because she no longer has the insulating padding she had previously.
I have to thank Charles for letting them give me a very boisterous wake up call this morning! Last night I'd pointed out that I have done the early shift every day since we got home and that it was probably HIS turn to get up first this morning. This duly happened, but he clearly needed to call in the cavalry, because just half an hour later he was encouraging the gorls to 'Go and wake Mummy up' which they did with wet licks, nuzzling and pummelling whilst I was attempting to burrow back into the pillows. How very thoughtful of you Charles. I must remember to do the same for you some time - probably tomorrow!
