It's sunny but very chilly. However, we had a great walk for two reasons:
1) We got talking to the man who lives right at the bottom of our estate. He has a labrador who our girls love to play with, so we began with their usual greeting and then got chatting and were somehow invited to have a look at the back garden - which was just fabulous. Fantastic views over Simonside and a wonderfully laid out garden with so many interesting sections and features I could happily have spent the day there just taking it all in. (Made me look at our own garden in a very different way!)
2) We took the girls down a little track that we haven't used before, mainly because it's always been water-logged. But it's dried out now and led us away from the village, through the fields and was a really pretty walk (apart from the rabbit's leg we discovered, shortly before discovering the rest of the rabbit's body - didn't like that at all!) and certainly one we will do again if the weather is dry.
Okay now we're going to get started on the weeding...
...could be a while!!
