... on the weather forecast it has just been announced that last night was the coldest May night for 15 years!! (When the Cons would have been in power then!)
No doubt I'll have my Mum on the phone later, warning me not to put any bedding plants in yest, because 'There has been frost in June, you know!'
Rest easy Mum, I'm not putting any bedding plants in at all this year. To much hassle to be honest, all that daily watering and then they just die when you go on holiday. If I'm putting anything into the beds this year it'll be colourful perennials that I don't need to worry about!
Talking of the garden, the pups were given another workout on the lawn last night! They really get some speed up out there. So far, we've only taken them out for relatively short periods and they've raced around without pausing for breath until we've managed to persuade them to come in for a breather and a drink. I hope that once they're out there for longer periods they might take things a little more slowly as I don't fancy sunbathing (ha ha ha!!!) with two little whirling dervishes making me dizzy by chasing round and round at the speed of light!
LILY & ROSE
Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!
