Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

Cakes a go go!

KIND OF...

... nothing day today.

But pretty relaxing nevertheless.

Watched the Ghana game this afternoon, and are currently on to the Aussie/Germany one.

The pups have had some pretty soggy walks today - and so have we obviously! It's been so grey and dull and we've had the lights on in the house pretty much all day - which makes you feel a bit cheated when you think that next week will be the longest day and the nights will be cutting in after that!!

(Oh - Germany are two up now and the match is only 25 minutes old.)

  1. I had heard a rumour, confirmed this morning that the Bundisliga has been using that Adidas World Cup ball since December. One pundit called it cheating....another xenophobe pundit referred to it as "efficient" in the usual smart assed way we tend to refer to Germans. It is clearly nothing more than an application of the 6P principle. Proper planning prevents poor performance. Okay so that's only 5....I'll let you work out the 6th. The young Geman team played good football and put a 5th rate Australian side into its pompous place....off the footballing map. I just don't understand why people continue to question and try to write this footballing nation off. It is always there or thereabouts...and I for one admire that. Now I didn't mention the war once!

  2. Presumably the missing word fits between 'prevents' and 'poor'!!
What's so special about the ball then? Surely as ball is a ball!
I agree that they played good football, but I have to admit to never actually wanting them to win - and I didn't mention the war either!

  3. This ball has a different construction which combined with the altitude seems to be contributing to the high wide shooting according to the critics/apologists. Podolski seemed to have no such worries as he smashed the new ball past Schwarzer

  4. Oh right - could it also have contributed to our goalkeeping error on Saturday then?

  5. Well....yes. Of course. No. Look. What I'm trying to say is...oh bollocks.....look how come England fans feel crap all the time? I've felt this way most of my footy conscious life. And me dad has always said...my money's on West Germany. My money's on Germany. Germany. And it pains me to say he would have rolled it in had I been stupid enough to wager. Why is that? I mean we won the .......d'oh

  6. Aah - but feeling crap is a double whammy for us isn't it?
Not only England fans but NEWCASTLE to boot!
I've always thought that I give the Kiss of Death to any team I support.
Maybe I should be like my brother and support Man Utd. I don't think he's ever been to Manchester in his life, but there you go! On the other hand, could I be so shallow, I ask myself?
