Lily and Rose that is!

They usually go to bed at about 9pm, but couldn't keep their eyes open this evening and put themselves to bed at 8.00.

I think they're still adjusting to the early starts now that Charles is back at school and combined with four good long walks today, they were clearly shattered.

I can't get over how much easier they have become recently. When I think back a few months to the times when they would drive me berserk, there is simply no comparison. They seem really content and are so easy to please and just a joy to have around.

It still makes me laugh that I spend all day with them, feeding them, taking them for walks, playing with them and generally making their little lives as much fun as possible - and yet the minute Charles gets home I may as well cease to exist as all they want to do is snuggle up on his knee, looking up at him adoringly. Lily would quite happily stay there all night if she got the chance, whereas Rose would need to jump down occasionally just to check that she's not missing anything, but would expect to be readmitted to the knee at any given time!
