I'm actually really excited about the World Cup. Not sure how far England will get in the contest, but will still be good to watch some quality games. Did anyone take my advice and go out and get 'One night in Turin'? If not, it's not too late and certainly worth watching.
(Sadly, the opening celebrations have been overshadowed by the news that Nelson Mandela's great grandaughter has died in a car crash following the concert last night. What a waste of a young life.)
Charles has got today's matches (and our match tomorrow) lined up for recording - clearly we're not going to miss a moment!!
James will be driving home this afternoon - perfect timing to be leaving Aberdeen, eh Jim! Hope he has a good journey and that he manages to get out of Aberdeen more quickly than the last time, when it took him a couple of hours to really get on his way.
I'm a little worried about Lily at the moment. She's fine in herself, has plenty of energy, but is a bit off her food. She has to be coerced into eating anything, which is very definitely not normal. I'll keep an eye on her over the weekend, but then I might take her to the vets to have her checked over if she doesn't get her appetite back.
I'm going into Morpeth this morning, but will be back in time for the Opening Ceremony!
