... but hardly surprising as the girls had gone to bed at 8.30 last night. I could hear them muttering for a while before I prised myself out of bed and checked the poorly eye. I THINK there's a slight diminishing of the swelling today, (or maybe I'm just getting used to looking like someone who's gone ten rounds in the boxing ring), so fingers crossed it's going the right way.
It's much fresher today after all the rain last night - and quite blustery too. We've just got back from our early walk and nearly got blown away a few times. The girls had a little visit from Tess, a collie cross, who lives around the corner and is almost never on a lead, but is so good she doesn't seem to need one. She came running up to my two and immediately rolled over submissively for them to check her out. She must think she's no match for the two of them!!
Haven't heard from Charles yet, but presumably the Party People will all take a while to come round this morning!! Hope they all had a good time and enjoyed their evening. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos!
Charles has strict instructions to go shopping on his way home. Not for groceries, Tesco are delivering those later, but more importantly for birthday presents for the girls who will be one year old tomorrow. He'd better get some nice stuff - don't want them to be disappointed on such a special day!!!!
