We were having a lovely time at the beach at Warkworth.
The girls were bounding in and out of the sea, occasionally having little drinks but stopping when we told them it would make them poorly.
Unfortunately, we weren't quick enough with this advice, because half an hour into our walk Lily literally exploded from her bottom with a jet stream of liquid the like of which you had to see to believe. This happened another two times - and then Rose was similarly afflicted.
In between these horrific expulsions, the girls were fine and walked along without a care in the world.
However, since we got home, they have only wanted to sleep, which is most unusual. They had their tea and ate with gusto, but apart from that they've been very quiet and clearly out of sorts all afternoon.
Did the ingestion of sea water cause this, or is there some other problem? We'll be watching them very carefully and will take them straight to the vet in the morning if they're no better.
