And we've had a really lovely day.
We left here at about 8.30 this morning and, after a pretty slow journey spoiled by torrential rain and a 50 MPH speed limit on the A1 that went on for miles, we rocked up t helen's at about 11.00.
The girls slept all the way and were in great spirits when introduced to their two boy cousins, Tex and Digby. I have to say that the first ten minutes were a little chaotic as all four dogs intoduced each other and attempted to establish a pecking order, but once it was established that Lily was indeed Top Dog everything was fine!
They've played together inside and outside, my girls have eaten the boy's meal and tried out their beds, they've had quiet times when they've snuggled up to all the humans who were around and they lay quietly under the table while seven of us enjoyed dinner this evening.
Before today, I was a little worried about how things would go, especially as we were on the boy's territory, but it really couldn't have gone better. However, I am pretty sure that Tex and Digby will be absolutely shattered now!!
We had a much better journey home and were back in the house at 9.45. Had a quick tidy up and got the girls settled in their own bed.

LILY & ROSE
Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!
