LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

BIT OF A...

... non-day really.

Spent most of the time hanging around waiting for a call to tell us that my phone had arrived, and even then WE had to make the call. I think we'd still be waiting if we'd left it to O2 in Morpeth.

So, very frustrating day really. As you know, I don't do patience, nor do I like to feel as if I can't settle to anything, which is what it's been like today.

Made some cupcakes this evening though. Tried a different recipe for the sponge using buttermilk which should make the sponge very light. Oh, that's another frustrating thing about today. I wanted to make some icing butterflies for the tops of the cakes and have a little tin of different butterfly cutters for that purpose. Could I find them? They are nowhere to be seen - despite Charles ever so helpfully deciding to empty all the kitchen cupboards out in an attempt to locate them. The thing that got me was he emptied everything out, declared the missing cutters weren't there - and then left everything for ME to put away! So - I've used hearts instead!!

  1. "Bit of a non-day"? I could write a 12 month long blog on non-days. You are retired right? Aren't they supposed to be non-days...unplanned days where you don't need to "factor in" potential eg car problems etc....and just....I don't know......go with the flow? Take each day as it comes? Let the wind blow you a certain direction?...and if it blows against you...then learn to exercise patience until the wind dies? As it surely will.

Ok I'll hazard a guess that the reply is going to be "No!"

  3. I don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows...
