... on his way to the match...
... and I'm not!!
James is taking my place today, so Charles is going to meet up with him and Claire too before the match for a quick lunch, then Claire is either going shopping or going home to Gosforth while the boys go to SJP.
I would have loved to be there - but it's such a sunny day, I would never have managed it.
I have to say though, that when I woke up this morning, I DID think I could make out more than I could yesterday and the 'broken glass effect' appeared to be slightly less than it has been. Must be the steroids I would imagine.
So, I'm at home, in the kitchen (where I seem to belong!) I've made some tiny bite size burgers to serve in mini-brioche, reminiscent of those we had in Niles Bar in New York. Hope they taste as good!
I've just finished mixing a Hummingbird Lemon Drizzle Loaf. It's in the oven at the moment and smells wonderful. There's also a White Chocolate Cappuccino cake in progress.
As for the girls - they are lounging around in the sun, barking half-heartedly at any passers-by. I'm keeping a close eye on them because both of thm seem to be a bit snuffly this morning and I'm hoping we're not in for a repeat of the virus they had a few weeks ago.
Right, I'm off to make the lemon drizzly stuff for the cake.
