And this is apparently a good thing!
It doesn't however, feel like a good thing. My left eye streamed all the way from home to the RVI and back again and is still doing it now. I've gone from two tablets a day to FIVE and now am on the dose that would be given to someone with shingles.
They've moved my appointment with the consultant forward a couple of weeks.
But hey - it's better than being acute, isn't it?
(The pharmacist said I was stylish AGAIN today!!)

I knew there was a difference between acute medicine and critical...but I thought it was the other way on. How bizarre! Its got a Ward Sister I know quite well perplexed too.
ReplyDeleteHmmm - and me too!
ReplyDeleteNever mind, at least this time I was seen by two docs - one was a student mind you, but I got a double examination. Great when you've got two lots of fingers poring over your sore eye!!
Did they say "Chronic" perhaps? It contains some of the same letters (:0/ and it is the opposite to "Acute" which is a long standing condition...and that is what you have... it makes a little more sense...not that I'm suggesting you need a hearing test as well you understand.
ReplyDeleteDr Glock
So it does - and it's quite possible!!
ReplyDeleteHonestly - two of us in the room and neither of us get it right!!
That WOULD make more sense I think as 'chronic' has got to be better than 'acute'.
It's feeling really chronic right now and I'm typing with my left eye firmly shut, but still wiping away tears every few seconds. I just want to know haw long this is likely to go on as it's getting me down a bit and five weeks is quite a long time to be so uncomfortable.
