Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

TEE HEE!!!

Went up to Alnwick today and called at Homebase because Charles wanted to do some research on a barbeque he's seen on t'internet. (He's been umming and ahhing for days now - by the time he decides the BBQ season will be over for another year, although he will almost certainly get it at the reduced price he's waiting for!! Great!)

While we were there we had a little wander over to the wallpaper section. Not the best selection admittedly but the significance of it is that a) Charles actually made it to the wallpapers without having a panic attack and b) once we were there he was quite keen to find papers that he thought would look good in the hall. And, surprisingly, we did indeed find the perfect paper. (In white and duck egg, so a perfect match for the rest of the house.)

Rather than pushing things too far, I let us leave without buying the paper, but did ask him when we got back to the house if he could visualise the paper on our walls. And he did indeed say he could.

So far so good then.

The SLIGHT drawback came when he mentioned that he thought that it was lovely BUT he didn't really think we needed to be doing it just yet.

So Charles - just how often SHOULD we be decorating? Admittedly it's only been 23 years since the existing paper went on, and there's probably a few years left in it, but I would love to know just when you might think about changing it. WOODCHIP ISN'T A GOOD LOOK EVEN WHEN IT'S BEEN PAINTED OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

And now I've started thinking about it, there's no way I'm going to let it drop, so we might as well just get on with it!

  1. Tee hee is also so very descriptive in a comics type way...like chortle. It says so much about the way you feel...almost as if you were Minnie the Minx. I love these words
