... have left the girls absolutely worn out!!
I don't know about Maggie Mae and Isla, but Lily and Rose can barely lift their heads up today. I've never known them so quiet - even Rose has slept pretty much all afternoon. (As has Charles strangely enough!)
I felt really sorry for Isla yesterday. I honestly think she didn't know what to make of the power-struggle between Maggie and Lily. I hope she's back to her usual self today.

Slept all day...and so did the dogs...he he he! Re Isla...she is such a fat wuss it is unreal. Seriously...she is not a normal dog. For instance she held a meaningful telephone conversation (allegedly) with Wendy this evening...Oh...hang on.... I don't really know where I want to go with this post...we... but I've started so I'll finish...
ReplyDelete...I think she was a little stressed because she was unable to escape and get her head down for an hour or so away from the young whippersnappers. I would also venture to suggest that she actually felt a little embarrassed - as the eldest - at letting Maggie Mae sort everyone out...so I'm going to make her watch "Kick ass" :o)
Hee hee - 'Kick Ass' - very good film. Maybe Rose should watch it as well and we could toughen them both up!
ReplyDeleteYes, Isla is back to her usual sleepy self but I'm not. The balance of flavours in that salmon dish was perfect and it got me to thinking. I'm convinced a certain "I hate fish cos my dad made me eat it all the time" young lady will have her head turned it if I use up our frozen salmon steaks according to that recipe...which is another way of telling you how much I enjoyed Thursday. Than you both.
ReplyDeleteYou may like the dressing recipe then!
ReplyDeleteYou'll need;
a thumb-sized piece of fresh root ginger
1/2 clove of garlic
1/2 a red chilli
1 spring onion
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 lemon
Peel and grate the ginger and garlic into a small bowl.
Finely slice the chilli and spring onion and add them to the bowl with the soy sauce and olive oil.
Squeeze the lemon juice into the bowl.
Mix everything together well.
Drizzle over your salmon when it's cooked.
You could also add water chestnuts for added textural interest.
Oh - and WE thoroughly enjoyed Thursday too!!
