... the hairdressers this morning, hence no posts!
Am now enjoying myself in the kitchen, making blueberry pie and an assortment of other stuff.
James has just rung to say would I be interested in going to see Ross Noble. The answer, James, is absolutely YES!

It's simply not good enough. Do you not realise that there are some of us out there with nothing better to do... than... I mean there are some of us out there who.....er....hang on your every word hoping for a new insight, revelation, rant, dig, story, laff? And speaking of laffs Ross Noble's dad and mine were good friends, live nearby in fact. Used to walk the dog past our house every day as regular as clockwork, slower as the years passed until the dog grew too old and croaked. (Its strange how the ordinary images of sitting in a lounge looking out and down the road are the ones I remember the clearest - seems I've turned full circle doing the same thing the best part of 40 years later :o(
ReplyDeleteHis dad is/was a very nice , unassuming bloke. Anyway... point is... my dad finds it hard to believe he spawned a complete lunatic...[Ross' dad, not mine - just to save you that particular (ri)post!!] When I read NME letters page as many years ago they referred to such ripostes as SAOLs
He IS a complete luntic and has that uncanny knack of being able to trun the most mundane and ordinary into something hilarious. very clever, but totally bonkers.
