LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

JUST GIVE CHARLES A SPREADSHEET...

... and he'll spend many a happy hour filling it in!

He's spent the afternoon working out unit costs for cupcakes and traybakes and has been in his element - especially when it transpired that I could actually make this little business venture worthwhile.

Fortunately for me, he really enjoys this sort of stuff, whereas I just see it as a bit of a pain, so hopefully, he'll be able to keep me on track in this area.

Have just made some individual Bakewell Squares and the batch of Ginger Shortbread ready for dannymatt on Monday.

Now we're going to settle down with the girls for a telly fest - Strictly and X-Factor - excellent!

  1. That's because you're a telly snob!

  2. You're absolutely right of course. I'm the very worst type of snob...one that recognises the failing and is ever so smug about it...and....an inverted WC one to boot. God how I despise myself sometimes.....but wait no...I have to confess I watched X Factor again tonight, against my better judgement, amidst missed phone calls, an horrendous night of disobedient and deeply disingenuous daughters. However I remain totally convinced about the winner who I picked out within 4 bars of at the first "Let's laugh at talentless hopeless hopefuls - in spite of what I'm taught at school - stage" If that person/act does not win then the show is a bigger joke than I thought. (Bear with me my friend this is the first glass of wine I've had since that astonishing lunch at yours and I'm in full flow)

Have you seen things like Deadwood? Mad men?

To be honest (really? are you not usually honest?)...I still watch Quantum Leap and I LOVE it. Never could stand Come Dancing as a kid and probably due to that I can't stand its pretentious successor...and I did try originally. Its just so BBC. And I love the BBC. Very depressing. Where am I going with this? My best mate does it and my ex wife does it.....so it must be Strictly for wrinklies I guess... or strictly for those with nothing netter to do. (Consider that another gently tossed gauntlet :o)

I have to say, though, that Baz Luhrman's film "Strictly Ballroom" is one of the best films I've seen. It was Australian

    This is England
