After dropping off our cakes at 8.30 on the dot, Helen and I went into town and spent a very pleasant few hours buying Christmas stuff (and a pair of skinny combats and workers boots for ME!)
We had coffee (twice) and Danish and had a really good mooch around. Ended up with aching arms and very sore feet!
Got home mid-afternoon and began to search for luxury packaging for our cakes. After much frustration, we did eventually find a company that supplies exactly what we need to make the cakes extra, extra special.
We're all on stand-by for tomorrow morning, when not only do we need to make another batch of cakes ready for our pitch on Saturday, but even ore importantly all three of us need to simultaneously ring up for Take That tickets at 9am.Wish us luck!
Forgot to mention the other day that the saga of the American fridge-freezer may eventually come to an end on Monday. Not as you might expect, however, seeing as we have given up on John Lewis and have cancelled the order and have resorted to another company who had stock in and who were able to guarantee uick delivery. We now have to get rid of the loan equipment (John Lewis are doing this on Monday morning) ready for the arrival of The Beast during the afternoon.
I bet those nice people at John Lewis wish they had never set eyes on us!

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!
