LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

WHAT NEXT??

For the first time since I retired I feel really excited (and daunted, in equal measure) about the future.

That may sound as if I've felt a bit stagnant during the past year, but that is not the case at all. It's been great to have that time to adjust to a new way of life - AND to get Lily and Rose sorted out - but it really does feel as if it's the right time for a change in direction.

Typically though, I can never get things done fast enough and am finding it difficult to remain patient while getting everything in place. I know it has to be this way, but I can't wait to find out whether or not this is going to work!

Before Helen left this afternoon, we drew up a list of tasks that need to be done during the next three weeks, so I will have plenty to get on with. (I've ordered a 7-tier wedding cake stand for cupcakes which should arrive within the next day or so - very exciting!)

It's been pretty quiet here this evening. The girls have slept pretty much since Helen and Bill left and we've been slumped in front of the TV, watching rubbish - sorry Dannymatt, but there are times when only rubbish will do)!

  1. 'tis I should apologise for neglecting the blog....and just for the record. You are right. Some things are a guilty pleasure. We still watch X Factor. I have catholic taste actually... I just like to moan on in an arrogant fashion about what's good and what's not. You know that of course. I'm struggling but determined to follow the blog. Don't think that I'm not.
