Tomorrow, the temperature is going to reach the dizzy heights of 4 degrees!!
Wow, can't wait!
Like everyone else I imagine, I've almost forgotten what our garden looks like without it's blanket of snow. Am very worried about two of the trees - one, a miniature willow in the centre bed, is so bowed over with the weight of snow that I really think the roots will have been pulled away and it may never recover. The other, our much prized tree fern, may not survive at all, despite being well wrapped for the winter months. The bamboo, which has been spectacular all year, is now sadly lying at the strangest angle and I hope it will eventually recover it's usual upright position.
We're still worried about potential damage to the shed roof, as I'm sure being under two feet of snow for so long cannot be doing it any good.
Hopefully today, there will be a delivery from Tesco, although I'm quite concerned about how he's going to get everything up the drive. The usual trolley method is pretty much a non-starter as the snow is so banked up against a very narrow track. Anyway, I'm sure he'll have encountered similar conditions elsewhere on his rounds.
Haven't got a clue whether this post will publish as we still have very intermittent internet connectivity, but will give it a go.
