Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

Cakes a go go!

HELPFUL HENRY

Yes - Henry at Tesco (the very nice young man who dealt with my concerns when I eventually managed to get through!) has rearranged my delivery without me having to do the whole order again. Admittedly it won't arrive for a week, but as most of it was to put in the Christmas store cupboards, it doesn't really matter.

The snow has continued really heavily today and Charles is fighting a losing battle trying to keep the drive clear. It's just not happening.

The girls are pacing the house (as I am also) and clearly don't know what to do with themselves (neither do I)

Can't settle to read, which is very unlike me and I just feel permanently anxious. This might have something to do with the fact that we now have water dripping into the bathroom between the tiles over the window. Charles has attempted to clear the snow from that section of the roof (good job we live in a bungalow) but it's still coming in. I've got towels draped all along the window ledge and am just hoping the tiles stay in place.

Seriously considering changing one of our cars for a 4 X 4 as they seem to be the only vehicles that are coping with the conditions. In fact, that is what I'll do now! (Don't worry Charles - I'll just have a look!)

  1. I've spent years laughing at the 4x4 owners around here who seem to relish driving quickly over the estate's traffic calmers and lording it over the lower hors d'oeuvres such as I. And I still do... because there really is no justification for them other than this weather which doesn't happen often enough to justify the outlay or the resultant damage to the environment.....and I'm still laughing actually because 4 wheel drives are no good when you're stuck for 2 hours behind a rear drive BMW in a queue 3 miles long trying to get of Denver. Baby!

  2. Hmmm. Worryingly, Charles has found an ancient landrover freelander that's practically being given away. He seems to think that would be a good idea!!

(I, on the other hand, was looking for something much newer, preferably from Dennis Common in Fram - so we could get it tomorrow...

    ..and escape!

  3. Sounds like a rabid case of cabin fever is beginning to set in...
