I think the girl(Her name's Serena. She's from Shilbottle.) at Woofcuts is just a little bit scissor happy (or razor happy maybe) because the girls have come back absolutely shorn, despite my request that they should only have a trim and a tidy-up.
They both have huge, sad eyes, which we can see properly now that their fringes have gone. And they look so tiny - especially Rose who just looks like a mini Westie now. (Actully, she doesn't really look like a Westie at all - more like a tiny lamb!) In fairness, they probably are genuinly distressed about losing their thermal insulation just at the time they need it most. So, they've gone to bed with an extra blanket and wearing their Toon tops tonight!
Charles succeeded in only part of his mission today. He failed to bring home a portable heater (although he DID get me a replacement hand-mixer as the one I've had for years has given up on me), but I've tracked one down in B and Q so he's going over there to pick one up in the morning. He's also going to call in at the City Link depot in an attempt to collect our outstanding packages. I have to say I was somewhat gobsmacked by the claim on their web-site that they are functioning 'normally' and only have a three-day backlog. That is an out and out lie! We've been waiting for weeks for our stuff.
What am I doing tomorrow? Well - a bit of baking (there's a surprise) and probably the pre-Christmas cleaning, then all I need to do so far as orders are concerned, is to make a Pavlova on Wednesday and I'm done.
