Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

VERY LIMITED CONNECTIVITY TODAY

It's taken ages to get onto the internet this morning - and the landline is completely dead.

Charles had a call t about 6.30 this morning to inform him of more fresh snowfall in Blyth. Consequently, plus the fact that the roads are like skating rinks, his school is closed again today.

Actually, the A697 was completely closed outside the village for a time, not just because of the conditions, but in order for a local farmer to move his herd of cattle! We had a little chuckle about that. Bet there aren't many places where this could happen.

The girls have been out for their first proper walk in over a week. If they stay in the tyre tracks they can just about get their little legs moving! Now they're snuggled up in the living room watching daytime TV.

I'm going to make a start on the marzipan and flat icing of two cakes today, although I want to wait to see if my delivery of cake boards actually gets through forst. We had a little window of opportunity yesterday, when the postman actually managed to get through and we took delivery of SOME of the stuff we've been waiting for, but there is still a lot to come. I'll stay at home all day, in the hope that more will indeed arrive, but Charles is going to attempt to get to Morpeth later in the day, once the sun has had a chance to get to work on the icy roads.
