Migraine over - thank God.
I'm getting much better about controlling these nasty little blighters. Takes about an hour for the aura to disappear and for my vision to get back to normal (ha ha ha!), but a few painkillers taken as soon as I notice the first symptoms seem to do the trick.
Don't know what triggers my migraines, although I've always suspected it's something to do with light. Flickering candles are a dead cert, not that I had any of those around today. I suppose it could have been because I was working under quite bright lights in the kitchen when I was painting butterflies this morning. Anyway, whatever - it's over with now.
Been pretty busy today (apart from the hour I had to take out) - made a cake for Helen's birthday, cut all my tiny cakes to equal heights, made two batches of chocolate cupcakes, painted butterflies and covered two cake boards so that the sugarpaste has dried out before I place the ckaes on them tomorrow.
Now I'm going to get dinner ready. Got a fab piece of pork from Waitrose, which I WAS going t do for James tomorrow evening, but apparently he's playing football and never wats much to eat after that, so Charles and I will just have to eat it ourselves!
Life's tough!
