And despite all my reservations, we have had the BEST time.
It was lovely to see Paul and his family, who were so hospitable to us and really made us feel at home.
The reunion was simply amazing. Okay - it may have taken a while to recognise one or two people - but once we got that out of the way, it was just like it used to be all those years ago. Lots of laughter, drinking, catching up, more drinking. great - nothing had changed at all.
Everyone loved the cakes. I'm so pleased about that and now there are pics of them popping up all over facebook.
We've eaten really well - far too well really. Tapas on Sunday night - delicious. Then Raymond Blanc's brasserie in Jericho last night - truly fabulous.
The girls have been looked after exceptionally well by Helen and Bill. They've been let loose in the park, paddled in the river up at Ingram valley and been for a dip in the sea at Bamburgh today. A mini-holiday for them too. Thank you H and B!!
LILY & ROSE
Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!
