LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

NO CAKES...

... this week.

This is strange!

I've let Helen loose in the kitchen this morning. She's busily cutting out shoes and dresses for a batch of cupcakes she's making later this week and has declared that she's in her element!!

The girls are watching her with lazy interest - ie one eye open.

Bill and I are waiting for her to get done and then we're off to Heighley for coffee/light lunch.

I was hoping the fab weather would continue so that we could go somewhere up the coast, but it was not to be I'm sad to say.

Now - apparently the skiing cake isn't going to be picked up until Thursday - despite me having it in my diary for collection tomorrow. It's a good job it's a fruit cake and not sponge otherwise it would have been spoiling by the time it's eaten.

  1. I think the fundamental difference between your cakes and others which may be almost as beautifully crafted is, first and foremost....taste. One simply doesn't expect and does not usually get both. Plus the creative thought processes that you obviously go through. It's not run of the mill stuff. And that individuality, that unique quality of going to the lengths you do to please the client, that "care craft" has real appeal...am I making sense here?

  2. That is not meant to elicit an awww shucks reply. It's just the way it has come across to me since you started this venture. I guess if the business were bigger you might have to compromise....and I bet that would cause you great consternation.... and even longer days.
This is meant to be a heartfelt compliment by the way, but my mood is low and I hope it comes across as intended lcx
