Welcome to the daily diary of Lily & Rose, the West Highland White Terriers. The Blog begins from them being 4 weeks old!
Young At Heart
LILY & ROSE
Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!
Must have been a damp squib if he did...or else it was a leaf because they were hopeless second half after a promising first half display. I could quite happily shoot Shola sometimes...I heard on the radio that just before the game Carroll applauded the home supporters and completely turned his back on the Newcastle fans. If there was any lingering doubt in the minds of Toon fans it will have quickly disappeared now. Money doesn't talk it swears!
Keep an eye on your dogs for scratching, redness and sores on the skin. Maggie is suffering terribly. She was hospitalised earlier last week for tests. We haven't had the results but they think it might be a mite. It's heartbreaking to see such a lovely dog suffer so much. She is on yet another course of antibiotics and steroids which make her ravenous and thirsty but provide some relief. I have to admit I feared the worst and even considered whether it would have been more humane to have her put to sleep but I think I was being driven by the bank balance more than anything and I'm consumed with guilt. But its bank breaking...she has cost hundreds and hundreds of pounds these past few months. Pet insurance is only as good as it's first payout and we have had to submit a claim at long last...after more than a year. But with a £100 excess for each condition we'll be lucky to see much return. Just keep an eye out for this condition. It's saddening.
Thanks for the heads up Dannymatt. So sorry for Maggie - she must be feeling thoroughly miserable. Will check our two carefully.
As for the football - I think you'd need to join the queue for doing serious damage to Shola. He certainly didn't turn up today - but did any of them really?
I'm Sue and I'm now retired (early)! I used to be a headteacher in Northumberland but now I'm getting used to a new way of life. One that is less stressful and pressured hopefully!
I live with my husband, Charles, in Newcastle upon Tyne, with our two Westies, Lily and Rose.
We have just become grandparents!!
