The gig was AMAZING.
A brilliant combination of the TT four, Robbie and then the reformed five with oldies and new stuff superbly mixed into an amazing show.
The atmosphere was electric, we all sang our selves silly and had the best time ever (Well, the best time since the Circus gig)! The two concerts could not have been more different, but it would be difficult to chose one over the other in terms of sheer brilliance.
What a showman Robbie is. It's the first time I've seen him live and he captivated his audience totally within seconds of appearing on stage. The whole show was mesmerising, but I have to say that despite my reservations, Robbie was the surprise of the night for me. Incredible!
The only downside to the evening was in trying to escape Sunderland afterwards. Clearly there had been a major incident in addition to the concert traffic and our two 'taxis', driven by Jake and Bill, were unable to get to us, so we ended up with a considerable hike out of town in order to meet up with them. Rachel reckons we walked twenty miles. It certainly felt like that!
But, that aside, it was an incredible evening and I've woken up this morning with the full repertoire of TT songs doing battle in my head!!
