The girls had us up at 6am, so I've got a bit of a head start this morning. All the usual chores are done and I'm just downing cappuccino number one, before getting started.
I might make another batch of trial scones today. I'm trying really hard to produce heavy, dense scones as that is what the guy at Corbridge larder wants, but always seem to end up with light, fluffy ones. Grrrrrrrr!!
Have to say that the chocolate orange cupcakes went down a treat. In fact Charles was pretty upset to discover that they'd all gone when he got home yesterday. Hope everyone at Claire and James's work enjoy them today!

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

What's the craic with heavy dense scones in Corbridge? Are they repairing the Roman ruins? If I was the proprietor I'd have both, for a while and make sure that they were clearly and appropriately labelled. People would slowly but eventually make the right choice..surely? It must really go against the grain if you'll pardon the Homepride bakers reference.
