SO, THERE I AM...

... having a long, philosophical debate with Sean, who's come round for tea and Charles walks in yelling that the girls are out and trotting up the main Rothbury Road! Panic ensues of course, by which time he explains that he saw them as he was driving through the village and has in fact stopped and thrown them into the car, so they ARE safe, except that as soon as he opens the door they hare off in different directions, Lily making her way sheepishly up the drive and Rose disappearing round the next door neighbours where she comes face to face with their labrador who scares her enough to drive her home. I KNOW how it happened. Sean and Christina arrived home to a welcoming committee comprising two very excited little dogs who met them at the gate and, in the ensuing chaos of the meet and greet, somehow the gate has been left off the latch. Thank God they're safe!
