HAS ANYONE...

... ever cooked roast duck?? I haven't, nor would I ever really want to, but Christina has been asked to roast a duck for Christmas Day lunch - with Tim and his Mum on the farm - and she's naturally somewhat apprehensive. It'll be the first time she's prepared a full Christmas lunch, and that's scary enough, but having to cook something you've never tried before is especially daunting and even more so when it is apparently really difficult to cook properly. I've said we'll do a time plan and get most of the preparation done in advance, but I really think she should either a) ask Tim's Mum to show her how to cook the duck or b) get in lots of practice first or even better c) persuade them to have turkey.
