THE TREE'S UP!!

Charles actually made the suggestion that he could save me time if he chose the tree himself! Well, he actually went to Heighley Gate with Christina on the way to her appointment in Alnwick so she almost certainly had some influence. In any event, he chose the tree without me being there!! Bearing in mind that last year we had absolutely the most perfect tree - so perfect it looked artificial if you know what I mean - it was remarkably brave of him! And the tree that he brought home? Was pretty damn near perfect again!! It's looking gorgeous now, and so is the rest of the house. I got up at the crack of sparrers - well actually before that to be honest - and started putting the mammoth order together for tomorrow. That took the best part of the morning and then it was onto cleaning and changing all the bedding. Christina and Tim called in after her counselling session. She was great. Not at all angry in the way that she had been at the end of the last two sessions. Once they'd left we got on with putting the tree up and at last I think we're beginning to feel a bit Christmassy!!
