... purely so I can book a Tesco slot for Christmas week. Is it worth it? Yes, absolutely if you don't want to spend the best part of a full day, pushing a trolley round any supermarket just before Christmas. I vividly recall being in Tescos years ago and getting caught up in TROLLEY GRIDLOCK. I was unfortunately in the fresh meat section, where I stayed for hours without making any headway whatsoever, because nobody could move anywhere. I was frozen by the time we eventually got moving and vowed that I would never, ever subject myself to such insane shopping hell. It really must be years since I actually set foot in a supermarket during regular hours at Christmas, because while I was at Heddon, I would leave home at about 4am and do the Christmas food shop on the way to work. Just me and the alcoholics at that time!! Anyway I'm aiming for the Saturday delivery and slots will come on line at midnight tonight. 20 minutes to get my finger poised. Yes, I've been here before, I know what I'm doing!!!
