LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

Cakes a go go!

ITS BEEN A GOOD DAY FOR...

... sorting out odds and sods of jobs that needed to be done, but which we kept putting off. Now I can happily cross lots of stuff off my list. I'm ready for a lie down now though!! It's only just gone 4pm, is a dark as night and I'm still getting over the cold/flu/bug. I didn't have the best nights sleep due to coughing, but have to say I don't think I'm quite as bad as I was yesterday, so I'm hopeful of a better sleep tonight. Lots of Christmas cakes are going to be collected tomorrow evening, so we should have a dining table again. I've just had an extra order for one from a customer who had two last week and wondered if I had any more to spare. Fortunately I did - OURS! Not to worry, I have another one ready to finish and we can have that. This time it's a ginger fruit cake, slightly lighter that the traditional Christmas cake, but I think that will make a nice change. Because it's more spongey in texture I'm going to keep it frozen until next week before covering it with marzipan and, possibly, shock horror, ROYAL ICING. Might change my mind about that, but you never know, it might be worth a try. OR - just thought - maybe marshmallow frosting? Who knows? The icing possibilities are endless...
