LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

ABOUT THIS TIME...

... of day, the girls have been having a chewstick each as a treat.

They have set behaviours for treats. Little cheesy bites are consumed lying down on the mat. They know this and will lie down, in position, in readiness when they see me heading for the 'cheesy bites' cupboard.

Chewsticks, on the other hand, have a whole different set of behaviour. The girls are really possessive about these and have worked out a system where they don't get in each other's way when they're consuming them. Rose takes hers to the crate and Lily stays well away on the mat.

BUT, just recently, a new development has occurred, one which Rose has developed all by herself! Now, instead of contentedly munching away at the same time as her sister, she carries her treat to the crate AND THEN LEAVES IT ALONE all the time eye-balling Lily, who appears completely oblivious.

Only when Lily has finished hers, does Rose emerge from the crate with her untouched chewstick, and she then taunts her sister by parading in front of her with the stick hanging out of her mouth.

Needless to say, Lily doesn't realise that this is the ORIGINAL stick and appears to believe that Rose is getting preferential treatment and, as you can imagine, ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE at this point!!
