... have made the ultimate mince pies!
These beauties have a crisp, yet melt in the mouth shortbread case, loads of filling and a crumble topping, finished with a liberal dusting of icing sugar. I thought about the recipe late last night - and really wanted to get on with them there and then, but as it was approaching midnight, had to wait till this morning!
They are fab, as I know because I've already demolished one with my morning cuppa. The only downside (not to the mince pies) is that I am unable to have my usual capuccino as the nail glue on the milk frother did not work.
Also, now have a meeting with Dave from Central Bean tomorrow at noon!

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!
