... start to the day.
The girls haven't been out for their early walk yet, but we can't put it off much longer.
We've decided that every time Rose has a barking fit at the adverts, we're just going to pick her up and remove her from the living room, putting her into the breakfastroom on her own until she calms down. Hopefully, after a few repetitions, she'll connect the cause and effect and cease her protestations.
Later this morning, Charles and I are going into Morpeth. I've got to do boring old food shopping, but also need a few bits for cake prep this week. Tomorrow, we're off to see James and Claire's new apartment, going out for a late breakfast, followed by some Christmas shopping in town. Sounds like a good plan to me.
On Monday I'm going to ice and decorate a few small fruit cakes ready for the Christmas shopping evening on Thursday. I've decided to make really small ones, that won't come in at extortionate cost and may be tempting for people to buy on the night. On the other hand they'll also get an idea of what I can do and may place an order for closer to Christmas. Fingers crossed anyway!
