Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

DANNYMATT - HELP!

Okay, you will probably think I'm totally neurotic and overly-wimpish about this BUT I need to know what to expect when the pups come home after their operations.
I know I could talk to the vet about it, but I want to hear it honestly from you. For example...
Will they be in a lot of pain?
Do we need to keep them in separate crates?
Will we be able to pick them up?
Will the big step be a problem when they need to go outside?
Just little things like this that!
I am DREADING it because I can't bear to think they may be in pain. Please help.

  1. I think they'll be sore for one day only. You'll be surprised how quickly the'll recover. Handle with care supporting their bottoms if you wish to pick them up for cuddles (as if!) I'll wager they'll be tear-arseing around the garden again by the weekend. I'm also prepared to put my reputation (ha ha ha) on the line and say that they will settle down after this. Glad to see you're monitoring their TV habits, however Westies also like music on in the house if you go out and leave them and this may just aid their recovery. Just some gentle radio 3 or lush summer harmonies and jingle jangle guitars from Teenage Fanclub / Big Star/ Dinosaur Jnr / Sonic Youth / Neil Young and I guarantee they'll forget what ails them and be singing along in perfect harmony in no time. Snip? What snip?
