OBVIOUSLY...

... I've had a busy day so far, hence no real contribution to the blog (Not that there's anyone out there. I'm probably just talking to myself. Hey ho!)
James came up for bacon butties for breakfast, then we went to Morpeth and did some belated birthday shopping for my niece Rachel, as well as food shopping for the weekend (got lots of BBQ stuff, so it'll no doubt rain shortly).
Spent the afternoon making goodies, including The Hummingbird Cafe's Rocky Road which requires - wait for it - 1.4 kilos of chocolate, 8 mars bars, a big pack of Maltesers and marshmallows and a variety of other stuff, just to make a swiss roll size slab. Who has that much chocolate in the house? I only just made it - and even then part of it was made up from melting two sad, leftover Lindt Easter bunnies that weighed the grand total of 200 gms between them. Also, just to make things really complicated, my ultra sophisticated scales chose this very afternoon to run out of battery, so I've just had to rely on guesswork. God only knows how things will have turned out!
