Following intense discussion , we have decided to remain at the Affinia in Manhattan for the duration of our enforced stay.
This means that should there be a miraculous change in the travel situation, we are well placed for a quick getaway. We've looked at excursions we could make out of the city and Boston, Washington and Philadelphia are all achievable within a couple of hours or so.
I'm glad we've made this decision, even though the NY sounds are beginning to grate a little. Being sandwiched between NYPD and NYFD means that it can get pretty noisy at times. James has a theory that at 6am the shifts change and all sirens have to be tested! It certainly sounds that way.
So, we're off to get some lunch at the bar downstairs where we are hoping to catch the Inter/Barca game.

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!
