Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

Cakes a go go!

THE BIG DIG

Not to be confused with 'The Big Dig' that we did at Heddon a couple of years ago, when we worked with archaeologists to dig up a local farmer's field (with his permission!) in the hope of finding Roman artefacts!!!! Actually, the farmer really hoped we WOULDN'T find anything of historical interest because he would have lost his field - but I think he'd pretty much checked it out in the past, so was quietly confident we could go ahead! And although we didn't find anything Roman, we DID find some interesting stuff from more recent times and learned a lot about archaeology at the same time.
No, the big dig in the title refers to the fact that Charles is outside digging for all he's worth and hoping that the predicted snowfall today isn't  going to arrive! Looking at the blue sky we could be okay, but then I thought that yesterday and look what happened.
It's quite nice I suppose, because all the neighbours actually get to talk to each other while they're outside shovelling away - makes a change from a cursory wave when you get back from work, as you rush into the house.
