LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

WHAT A FUSS!

I decided to do the old Domestic Goddess thing this morning and started to make the filling for a chicken and vegetable pie which we will have at the weekend.
It should be a very nice pie because it contains chicken (obviously), shallots, leeks, courgettes, fine beans and peas, all in a creamy sauce (Own recipe - bit of an experiment! I haven't decided whether to give it a puff pastry, cheesy crumble or mashed potato topping yet - what do you reckon?)
While I was busy browning the chicken, the puppies, who had previously been playing quite happily in their crate, suddenly perked up and, with twitching noses, started up a chorus of pathetic mewling. Then it occurred to me that they probably think that chicken is just for puppies and they haven't realised that human beings can eat it as well. So the pups were not best pleased when I had to tell them that it wasn't THEIR dinner and, anyway, 11 o'clock was far too early to be feeling hungry again.
As for you two, Lily and Rose, you should be ashamed of yourselves for making a noise like that. It sounded like a couple of strangled cats! Where's your self-respect?
